Ketanji Brown Jackson has been confirmed to the Supreme Court, leading the way for her to become the first Black woman to sit on the nation’s highest court in its 233 year history. Despite a divided senate, Jackson’s support from all democrats as well as three republicans — Susan Collins, Mitt Romney, and Lisa Murkowski — made her confirmation unequivocal. Among the many celebratory reactions, First Lady Jill Biden touched on Jackson’s family, whose support was a bright spot during her confirmation hearings. “No one will forget the look on your daughter’s face, or your husband’s pride throughout your confirmation,” she wrote on Twitter. “Your journey will continue to inspire generations to come.”  She will be sworn in when Justice Steven Breyer retires this summer. Congratulations, Justice Jackson!
